Crindle Stables – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all lessons, activities and experiences at Crindle Stables. By making a booking with us, you agree to the following.

1. Booking

All lessons, seasonal activities and experiences must be pre-booked.

Bookings must be made by the party leader (the client/guest), who must be aged 18 or over.

Bookings can be made by:

  • Online via our booking system Rezgo (R‑E‑Z‑G‑O), accessible through the Crindle Stables website

Once a booking is confirmed verbally or in writing, a contract is formed between the client and Crindle Stables. By making a booking, the lead guest confirms that all members of their party agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.

This contract is governed by Northern Ireland law. In the unlikely event of a dispute, both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Northern Ireland courts.

Clients must provide information that is true and accurate for all participants, including riding ability, previous riding accidents and any medical conditions that may affect participation.

2. Payment & Deposits

All prices are listed in GBP (£).

All lessons, activities and experiences must be pre-booked. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Riding lessons

  • Group lessons

  • Private lessons

  • Countryside treks

  • Seasonal activities (including Adventure Rides, Stay at the Stables, Countryside Trail and Pony Pals)

  • Group beach rides

  • Birthday parties

To secure a booking, a non-refundable deposit is required unless the full amount is paid at the time of booking.

Deposit amounts are as follows:

  • Riding lessons, group lessons and private sessions: £10 per person

  • Beach rides and birthday parties: £50 per booking

Guests may choose to:

  • Pay the full amount at the time of booking, or

  • Pay the required deposit and settle the remaining balance on the day by bank transfer or cash

Bookings made through our online booking system (Rezgo) require full payment at the time of booking. Please note that Rezgo bookings are subject to a booking fee, which is set by the platform and is payable by the client.

Payment can be made via:

  • Online booking system (Rezgo)

  • Bank transfer

  • Cash

A surcharge of 3% will apply to all card transactions to cover transaction fees.

3. Lesson Types & Timing

Our lesson times include mounting, warm-up, cool-down and dismounting.

  • 30-minute lead rein lessons include approximately 25 minutes of riding time

  • 45–50 minute group lessons include approximately 40–45 minutes of riding time

Lessons operate on a timed system. The lesson time begins once all riders are mounted and ready.

Late arrivals will only receive the remaining time available and lessons cannot be extended.

4. Weight Limit

Our maximum weight limit is 16 stone (224lbs / 102kg).

If you are over this limit, please contact us in advance with your height, weight and riding ability, and we will assess whether we have a suitable horse available.

This limit is in place for the safety and wellbeing of our horses. Crindle Stables reserves the right to re-weigh riders prior to mounting if deemed necessary.

5. Late Arrivals, Cancellations & No-Shows

If you need to cancel or change a lesson or activity, you must notify us as soon as possible.

  • Changes or cancellations made within 12 hours of your session will be at our discretion only

  • In most cases, the deposit will be lost

  • No-shows and last-minute cancellations will result in the loss of the deposit or full payment

If your lesson is a 30-minute session or a 45–50 minute session and you arrive late, you will only receive the time that remains in that lesson. Lessons will not be extended to make up for lost time.

6. Block Bookings (Monthly)

We offer monthly block bookings at a reduced rate.

Block bookings must run from the start to the end of the calendar month. Some months have four lesson days, and some have five. Your block covers all lesson days within that month.

Reduced block prices:

  • Lead rein group lessons: £20 per session (normally £25)

  • 45–50 minute group lessons: £25 per session (normally £30)

Blocks must be used within the month they are booked for.

If you cannot attend a session within your block and notify us well in advance, we may, at our discretion, check availability on other days or in other suitable lessons. This is not guaranteed, especially during busy periods.

Choosing a block booking is the client’s responsibility. Missed sessions are not automatically carried over or refunded.

7. Cancellation by Crindle Stables

Crindle Stables experiences are subject to availability.

In the unlikely event that we must cancel your booking for reasons other than:

  • Fault of the client

  • Force majeure

We will endeavour to offer an alternative experience of a comparable standard. Crindle Stables accepts no liability for any additional costs incurred by the client, including travel or accommodation.

8. Alterations & Changes

Occasionally, weather or other circumstances may require us to make changes to an experience.

In these cases, guests will be offered:

  • A revised activity of equal value, or

  • The option to reschedule

9. Force Majeure

Crindle Stables regrets that we cannot offer refunds or compensation in the event of cancellations or alterations due to force majeure (acts of God), including but not limited to:

  • War or threat of war

  • Civil unrest

  • Industrial disputes

  • Lockdowns

  • Government actions

  • Terrorist activity

  • Natural or nuclear disasters

  • Fire

  • Flood

  • Adverse or unsafe weather conditions

10. Rider Responsibility & Behaviour

All riders must sign a liability indemnity form prior to participation.

Riders must provide honest and accurate information about their riding ability and personal circumstances.

Crindle Stables reserves the right to:

  • Assess riding ability prior to departure

  • Exclude a rider if they are deemed unsafe

  • Refuse participation to anyone behaving in a way that risks themselves, others, staff or horses

Where possible, we will attempt to offer an alternative, but this is not guaranteed. No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.

Crindle Stables accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal items or vehicles.

11. Photography & Marketing

All riders are required to complete a rider registration form prior to taking part in any experience.

As part of this form, guests will be asked to confirm whether they consent to photography and videography being taken during their time at Crindle Stables.

If consent is given, images and footage may be used for Crindle Stables marketing and promotional purposes. Guests may opt out at any time.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. You agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Northern Ireland courts.
